“Cathedral organs rang out and the drone of his electric guitar surged with heavy ritual vibrations. The night fire blazed brighter as she stepped to the front of the black mat in anjali mudra to invoke the 12 names of the SUN as her body moved through the 12 stations of the SURYA NAMASKAR. ”
TKPD invites you turn up the volume and play AGNI RADIATIONS – FIRE AS STILLNESS as you hail the SUN, FIRE and the AGNI of your SOUL.
A few medical science facts about the sun. Sunlight upon your flesh stimulates the production of vitamin D, which in turn improves the absorption of bone-strengthening calcium and phosphorus. Boosted vitamin D also reduced the risk of cancer. Within minutes of sun exposure, nitric oxide production begins, which helps lower blood pressure. Rays from the sun stimulate the production of serotonin, a natural mood lifting antidepressant. When sunlight hits our eyes, the pineal gland produces more melatonin to normalize the circadian rhythm, hence better sleep and rejuvination. Sunshine reduces infections and autoimmune diseases by normalizing the immune system as well. Oh, ya! Don’t forget that sunshine promotes nerve cell growth in the hippocampus of the brain which responsible for organizing and storing memories.
For all you yogis out there, this may be your new favorite track for your SURYA NAMASKAR sadhana. Please do share with others.
