The elephant headed son of Lord Shiva and Parvati wields an axe to sever our Self-limiting attachments. His noose and goad guide our path and his broken tusk reminds us that sacrifices must be made along the way. Without sacrifice, Ganesha becomes, Vighneshvara, the giver of obstacles. When Ganesha rejoices and dances upon the muladhara chakra, Kundalini Maa ascends up the sushumna, like a serpent striking the honeycomb, sipping the sweet rasa.
