In the Bhagavad Gita, the the living body is compared to an entity in the material world that carries life as the air carries aromas. Each of us are described as isvara, the controller of ones own body. Each moment, each meal, each vibration is an opportunity to create change toward harmony or discord.
The human body as the chariot, carries us through the physical plane. Each individual self is the owner of the chariot with the intellect (buddhi) as the charioteer. With the mind controlling the the reins and the five senses running like horses. Recently, I had a beautiful discussion with a dear friend, Julia Persike about and the forging of the spiritual vessel. We discussed motivation, discipline and where to begin if fallen off the fitness horse.
